Bidding Is Open is built around a connected operating model: intake, cataloging, marketing, bidder support, payment, pickup, shipping, and settlement are parts of one business process.
Darrien built and ran the online auction program for his family’s World of Decor business. He created and developed its live webcasts and in-person sales and conducted auctions every week. His work included High Point furniture and showroom-sample auctions, warehouse liquidations, and recurring sales of furniture, art, and home decor.
That is the practical experience behind Bidding Is Open: preparing an auction, presenting the property, bringing online and in-room bidders into the sale, and carrying the work through payment and removal.

NAAA Auctioneer Safety Certification — Darrien completed the National Auto Auction Association’s certification requirements on January 9, 2020, adding formal workplace safety training to his auction experience.

How we operate
Evidence before adjectives; written scope before property moves
Every catalog photograph should be the actual item. Descriptions distinguish what can be seen, what records support, what a seller reports, and what remains uncertain. A lot is not called original, vintage, or reproduction merely because an image looks convincing.
On the seller side, fit comes first. If the property is appropriate, the written agreement defines accepted scope, services, responsibilities, commercial terms, schedule, reserve arrangements if any, unsold property, reporting, and settlement before catalog work begins.
Auction is price discovery, not a guaranteed offer. We would rather explain why another channel fits than force the wrong property into a catalog.

What kinds of property do you sell?
We review substantial collections and distinctive personal property; estate and downsizing property; business inventory, equipment, fixtures, and overstock; and other authorized assets suited to online auction. Recent catalogs have included advertising collectibles and clocks, but those examples do not define the property we consider. Every engagement depends on the actual property, expected bidder interest, location, timing, logistics, authority, and a written agreement.
How do your online auctions work?
Formats vary by event and include timed online auctions and live webcast sales. Follow your event's catalog link from our Auctions page. The published catalog and event terms explain registration, the bidding schedule, any extensions, payment, pickup, and shipping.
Do you tell sellers exactly what property will bring?
No. We offer a free preliminary collection appraisal for auction planning that may discuss fit, an estimated range, and workload when the evidence supports it. It is not a certified or purpose-specific appraisal report, an offer, acceptance, consignment agreement, or guaranteed result. Auction is price discovery, and the written agreement controls any accepted engagement.
