Open the auction or lot page and choose Register for Auction. Read that sale’s terms and submit your registration. An account and a submitted bid do not replace the auction house’s approval.

Illustrative math: a $500 winning bid with a 20% buyer’s premium becomes $600 before tax, shipping and other charges. The 20% is an example, not a Bidding Is Open or platform-wide rate.

Use the auction cost calculator to estimate a total or work backward from your budget using your auction’s actual terms.
After you win, open My Account → Won Items and look for checkout or your invoice. LiveAuctioneers’ invoice article gives a typical email timeframe of 12–24 hours after the auction. Check your spam folder and contact the auction house if an invoice is missing; this is guidance, not a guaranteed deadline.

Where LivePayments is offered, LiveAuctioneers lists major credit and debit cards, eChecks and eligible installment payments through Zip. The choices actually available for your order, their fees and any eligibility conditions appear in the auction terms and checkout. The platform says auction houses cannot see your full card or bank details. Enter payment information only through the official payment flow.

Ship with LiveAuctioneers, also called LiveShipping, is a platform-arranged service at participating auction houses for purchases completed on LiveAuctioneers. Its explanation describes professional partners collecting, packing and shipping items to the address supplied at checkout.

The published quote includes collection, packing materials and labor, transport, delivery and insurance. That is broader than the carrier’s postage price alone.

LiveAuctioneers says alternatives depend on the auction house. Local pickup or a buyer-arranged shipper may be available; confirm the lot’s options, release requirements, collection window and costs before committing.

Selected shipping by mistake? Contact LiveAuctioneers shipping support promptly. Its cancellation article says it can honor a cancellation request if the order has not been picked up. Canceling a shipping service is separate from canceling the auction purchase.

If something arrives damaged or goes missing: LiveAuctioneers says its shipping service includes insurance and directs buyers to its claim process. Open the official damage-reporting article or insurance article and follow the current instructions. Coverage language is not a promise of an automatic refund; the claim is reviewed by the provider.

The reason is access to collectors who are already looking for the kinds of objects we bring to auction.
LiveAuctioneers brings auction catalogs, collector searches, saved items, bidding and purchase tools into one marketplace. Its seller offering emphasizes international reach and integrated payment and shipping services. For a collection of signs, antiques or other distinctive property, that audience and those tools are useful reasons to list there. They do not guarantee more bids or a higher selling price.

LiveAuctioneers’ published U.S. rate card requires LivePayments and LiveShipping to be enabled on auctions. It also lists event fees, commissions and processing charges. Higher partner tiers add conditions: its Gold tier, for example, includes exclusive use of LiveShipping along with other qualifying requirements. Those are meaningful operating constraints for an auction business.
These are the platform’s public requirements, not a statement of Bidding Is Open’s private contract or partner tier. Requiring a service to be enabled also does not, by itself, tell a buyer which alternatives will appear at checkout.
